Sci-fi grand strategy game for PC

Nexus 5X is a premium strategy game for PC from developer Whatboy Games. It's a 4X grand strategy experience that is set in the far reaches of space. Players will vie for dominion over the galaxy as they expand their territory, discover new systems, and reach the coveted galactic throne.

Similar to Stellaris or Dune: Imperium, Nexus 5X boasts multiple factions to choose from, each with rich lore to discover and learn about. What makes it stand out from its contemporaries is its unique approach to gameplay akin to a board game that condenses the experience into hourlong sessions.

For the galactic throne

Nexus 5X is a grand strategy game that takes place in the vastness of space but with a more casual approach that will help ease players who have been overwhelmed and daunted by the complex gameplay known for this sub-genre. It essentially condenses the experience into hourlong sessions that you can enjoy on a typical weeknight without all the guesswork and fumbling your way into the game.

To start your journey, choose from 11 factions with three leaders each to set as your home world and starting point. Each one has specific inclinations that affect your playstyle in all kinds of ways. Nexus 5X sports turn-based combat that is complemented by edicts, which are essentially faction-specific perks and skills you can trigger through a card system during battles.

Each faction has multiple ship types with unique skills to include in your armada and deploy in battle depending on the situation and enemy you're facing. One aspect the game could improve on in the future is a better tutorial system for new players. As it is now, there are elements of the gameplay that are not explained properly and are still confusing.

Fun and more palatable

Despite its shortened gameplay, Nexus 5X offers a fun and engaging experience rivaling that of its contemporaries that are more lengthy endeavors. It's great for fans who have limited time to play but still want something in the same vein. Apart from some slight learning curve, this is pretty much a must-try for any fan of the genre. Check it out now and see for yourself.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
